Israel Allocates NIS 60 Million to Build National Space R&D Lab with Subsidized Launches

A new national initiative funded through the Telem Forum will provide Israeli space startups and research institutions with engineering labs, testing infrastructure, regulatory assistance, and subsidized access to orbit. Backed by up to NIS 60 million, the lab intends to deploy at least 15 Israeli payloads into outer space over three years.

Officials noted that talks are even taking place to secure payload space on future exploration missions, including potential rides on SpaceX Starship test flights, significantly lowering the commercial barrier to orbit for early-stage Israeli space startups.
