The Israel Space Agency and the Israel Innovation Authority announced the launch of a new national research and development laboratory titled 'Access to Space' to significantly reduce entry barriers for Israeli space tech companies. The initiative operates with a budget of NIS 60 million, including NIS 40 million in pooled government grants, and is spearheaded by Creation Space.
The national lab will provide end-to-end infrastructure for development, testing, launch, and orbital operations. Participating companies will receive at least a 35% discount off market prices, aiming to facilitate the launch of at least 15 experimental payloads over three years to transition laboratory innovations to commercial deployment.
