Israeli Defense-Tech Funding Triples, Reaching $3 Billion in H1 2026

Israeli defense-tech start-ups working with the Ministry of Defense raised approximately $3 billion in the first half of 2026, according to data from the Haifa DefenseTech Forum. This massive influx of capital is triple the $1 billion raised during the entirety of 2025, signaling a major shift in investor interest toward security-related technologies.

Defense-tech and dual-use companies represented nearly 30% of the total $8.4 billion in private investment in Israel's tech sector for the period. Around 800 startups are currently fulfilling direct procurement orders for the ministry, as Israel rapidly transforms from a 'Cyber Nation' into a 'Defense-Tech Nation.'
