Israel Innovation Authority Boosts 'Start-Up Fund' for Deep-Tech Companies
The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) announced a significant expansion of its 'Startup Fund,' raising investment limits for deep-tech companies by approximately 33%. The new policy, which takes effect on July 15, provides up to NIS 2 million for pre-seed startups and up to NIS 6 million for seed-stage companies. The move is designed to provide a capital runway for breakthrough technologies requiring long development cycles.
Innovation Minister Gila Gamliel stated that the objective is to enable Israeli companies to reach their next milestones and remain growth engines for the economy. Startups led by under-represented populations or operating in National Priority Area A are eligible for even higher ceilings, reaching up to NIS 6.6 million at the seed stage.
